WHY TO USE FLY ASH BRICKS?

Fly ash is a byproduct from burning pulverized coal in electric power generating plants. During combustion, mineral impurities in the coal (clay, feldspar, quartz, and shale) fuse in suspension and float out of the combustion chamber with the exhaust gases. As the fused material rises, it cools and solidifies into spherical glassy particles called fly ash. This can be used as a reinforcing agent in the manufacture of bricks, concrete etc.

AND WHY SHOULD YOU USE THEM?

With the advent of greener construction and increased awareness of environmental issues, major construction houses and even the government are moving towards using fly ash bricks. Here are some advantages of fly ash bricks.
LIGHT WEIGHTWith light bricks, this stress and tension are reduced manifold.
ABSORB LESS HEATFly ash bricks absorb less heat suitable for the Indian climate.
COST EFFECTIVEOverall fly ash bricks help decrease costs during various stages of construction.
ECO FRIENDLY
Production of fly ash bricks requires no fossil fuel and hence does not lead to the emission of greenhouse gases.
NO ENV. DAMAGE
No top-soil damage in the production of fly ash bricks.
STRONGER AND UNIFORM
Fly ash bricks are stronger, more uniform and denser as compared to clay bricks.
